Supertree Grove

Singapore has grown built a forest as part of their Gardens by the Bay development. The Supertree Grove opened on the weekend with 18 supertrees made of concrete, steel, and over 160,000 plants growing on them. Up to 16 storeys high, the trees harvest solar energy to light up at night and will also work as air exhaust receptacles for the conservatories below. Visitors can walk a 128-metre long path between the trees and dine at the bistro atop a 50-metre supertree.
